Toi-Toys and Bambanani
Working together for a better future
For the past eight years, Toi-Toys has partnered with Stichting Bambanani, an organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children in South Africa. We chose to work with Bambanani because their approach allows us to make a real difference. Their work is direct, impactful and closely aligned with the values we believe in at Toi-Toys.
What support does Toi-Toys provide to children in South Africa?
Although we also support charitable organizations in Europe, we recognize that children in Africa often have fewer opportunities. That is why we believe it is important to provide additional support where it is needed most. As a toy company, we naturally feel connected to children. We contribute not only through financial donations, but also by donating toys. For example, footballs that are played with every day help bring joy, play and recreation to children in South Africa. We believe that play is an essential part of a safe and healthy childhood.
Over the past two years, Toi-Toys has sponsored two water wells at schools in South Africa. This year, Toi-Toys is once again funding a water well and supporting a program that provides children aged 0 to 4, from families connected to nearly 100 schools, with deworming treatment twice a year. This treatment significantly improves children's health and gives them a better opportunity to grow up healthy. From the age of five, children generally develop resistance to these parasites.
The Vrienden van Bambanani foundation has been committed to creating a better future for South Africa's youngest generation since 2005. Bambanani currently supports 99 schools, providing care and education to 4,920 children. These children have a place where they can play, dream and learn, while also receiving a healthy meal every day. We are proud that Toi-Toys can contribute to these important initiatives.
